The information common sense collects and how common sense uses this information
Common Sense only collects personal information from you when you provide it voluntarily. For example, we collect information when you request or receive materials regarding Common Sense and our products or when you participate in any interactive features of the Sites such as participation in surveys or contests, apply for a job, communicate with us via third party social media sites, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us. Information we may collect from you includes:
(a) Personal information you include when you communicate with us, such as your name, email address and other contact information, including addresses and phone numbers;
(b) Other information you may submit to us from time-time in connection with a survey, contest or other interactive features on the Sites, such as personal demographic information, hobbies and interests, product preferences and experiences with our products.
When you use the Sites, Common Sense does, however, automatically collect the following information:
(a) Certain log file information, such as your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, operating system, browser type and language, referring URLs, access times, pages viewed, links clicked and other information about your activities on the Sites;
(b) The mobile device you use to access or use the Sites, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information and information about your use of our mobile applications.
If you don’t like cookies, use the options in your web browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. Click on the “Help” section of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. But remember, if you disable all cookies, you may not be able to take advantage of all of the functionality of our Sites.
Use of your personal information
We may use information about you for various purposes, including to:
(a) Maintain and improve the Sites and our products;
(b) Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service;
(c) Communicate with you about the Sites, our products, offers, surveys, events and other news and information we think may be of interest to you;
(d) Monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with the Sites on an anonymous aggregate basis;
(e) Detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities and protect the rights and property of Common Sense and others;
(f) Personalize and improve the Sites and provide advertisements, content and features that match your interests;

Common Sense, is located outside of the U.S. By accessing or using the Sites or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S. and other countries.
We keep your job inquiries and job applications confidential. However, Common Sense may share personal information within the company. Occasionally, with your permission, we will send marketing information to you, such as information about new product offerings. If you do not wish to receive this information, please let us know.
Common Sense sometimes contacts other companies for a variety of reasons, such as fulfilling orders, assisting with promotions, and providing technical services for our website. These companies may have access to personal information. However, this information will be provided on a confidential basis.
Common Sense does not sell, transfer or disclose your personal information to any third parties. Common Sense reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a matter of public safety.
We may disclose personal information:
(a) to conform with the law, respond to claims or comply with legal process served on Common Sense (e.g., a lawful subpoena, warrant or court order);
(b) to enforce or apply our policies or agreements;
(c) to protect and defend our or our user’s rights or property, the site, our employees, guests or the public, including fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of, our site;
(d) With vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work or perform services on our behalf;
(e) We may make our address list available to certain third parties we believe may offer products or services of interest to you;
(f) When you participate in the interactive areas of the Sites or interact with us on third party social media sites, certain information that you provide may be displayed publicly, such as your name, photos and other information you choose to provide;
(g) In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, sale of assets or any business, other change of control transaction or financing;
(h) Between and among Common Sense and any current or future parent, subsidiary and/or affiliated company; and
(i) if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay.
We also may share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
With your consent, we may collect information about your actual location when you use our mobile applications. You may stop the collection of this information at any time by changing the settings on your mobile device, but note that some features of our mobile applications may no longer function if you do so.
You are in control of any personal information you give us. If at any time, you want to correct the personal information we have about you send us an e-mail or a letter.
Our site is a general audience site that is not designed nor intended to collect personal information from children under the age of 13. To respect the privacy of children and to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, children under the age of 13 should not provide any personal information on this site. We ask that parents supervise their children while online.
Common sense website security
Any and all personal information you provide to Common Sense is stored securely offline.

Some of our web pages offer links to websites other than the Common Sense Sites. Social sharing features
The Sites may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools, such as the Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest buttons (e.g., “Like,” “Tweet” and “Pin It”), which let you share actions you take on the Sites with other media. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature.
